Same rules, different triggers

Pro for Category Notifications is out.

The free plugin handles one job: when a product runs low or out of stock, the alert goes to whichever email addresses you’ve mapped to that product’s category. Multi-include, sub-category exclude, variation-aware. The point is per-category ownership — the Books-team only gets Books alerts, the Wine-team only gets Wine alerts, and the shared inbox stays out of the way. It’s free on wp.org.

The Pro version extends that to order events with the same category-based rules. New orders go to the warehouse, cancellations go to customer service, failed payments go to whoever handles refunds. Same routing rules, different triggers.

That’s what Pro adds:

  • Per-category routing for new, processing, completed, cancelled, and failed orders
  • Same rules engine as the free plugin — multi-include categories, sub-category excludes, variation-aware
  • Drop-in: free handles stock, Pro handles order events
  • Same admin UI as the free plugin, just one extra tab

Yearly subscription, three tiers — single site, five sites, unlimited. Prices and the buy button live on the Pro page so they’re always current.

The free plugin keeps working regardless of Pro. It’s only an add-on to get extra flexibility.
