The free plugin routes WooCommerce stock notifications per product category. Each rule points one or more categories at one or more recipients, it is hierarchical and variation-aware, and sub-categories can be excluded from a parent rule. That covers the shelf running empty.
Pro covers the message that actually starts work: the order. Every rule you already defined gets five extra checkboxes — New, Processing, Completed, Cancelled, Failed. Tick the ones that matter and that rule’s recipients get an email when an order reaches that state.
For each order Pro walks the line items, collects their categories including ancestors, and sends one email per matching rule with only the items that rule matched, the customer details, and a link straight to the order in admin. A supplier sees their own lines, not the entire basket. Per-event dedup means a refund or a manual status change does not fire the same mail again.
This is built for multi-supplier and drop-shipping shops, where sending everything to one address stopped working a long time ago.
