Most families share something that quietly becomes a logistical headache. A summer cottage. A boat. A caravan. Sometimes just one decent car. And every year the same question comes back around: who has it, and when?
Usually it lives in a group chat, a shared note, or someone’s head — right up until two people show up at the same cabin on the same weekend. I built Turas to replace all that with one calendar everyone can see.
The idea
You add the thing you share — a resource — and get a link. Everyone with the link sees the calendar and books the dates they want. Nobody needs an account just to look, there are no double-bookings, and there’s no “did you write it down?”. The yearly negotiation over July turns into a calendar instead of an argument.
It works for anything a group takes turns with: a holiday home between siblings, a boat between friends, a company car between colleagues, gear in a small club.
Small and boring on purpose
Turas is a deliberately small stack: a React front end, PHP and SQLite behind it, nothing I have to babysit. It’s free to start, and a Pro tier — a few kronor through Stripe — unlocks more resources and calendars for people who share more than one thing.
