Really Simple Under Construction Pro

v1.0.2 · Paid

A template gallery and a launch that fires by itself, added next to the free maintenance-mode plugin instead of on top of it.

Highlights

What it does

The free plugin serves a clean placeholder to logged-out visitors, returns 503 with a Retry-After header so crawlers come back later instead of indexing the placeholder, and lets you through by being logged in, by a secret URL, or from a whitelisted IP. Around 700 sites run it. Pro appears as a tab next to those settings and never replaces them.

Pro adds a gallery of six starting points — Minimal Dark, Minimal Light, Coming Soon Bold, Maintenance Technical, Boutique Pastel and Launch With Date. Set the title, the body text and an accent colour, click Apply, and Pro writes the rendered HTML straight into the free plugin’s settings field. Nothing is locked inside a renderer: what comes out is HTML you can keep editing by hand.

Scheduled launch is the other half. Pick a date and a time and the Under Construction page turns itself off when that moment arrives. Useful for a planned go-live, a seasonal closure, or a migration window you would rather not sit up and babysit.

Around those two: an email signup form you can drop into the page so visitors can be told when you are back, an activity log of what changed and when, an admin-only preview that shows the real placeholder without logging you out, and a License tab that activates against LemonSqueezy.

€19 a year. Requires the free Really Simple Under Construction Page plugin, version 1.5.3 or later, from WordPress.org.
